Summary:
RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces the release of RSA enVision Event Explorer 4.0.2 for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS.
Platforms:
Event Explorer 4.0.2 is supported for RSA enVision 4.0 SP3 or later only on the following client operating environments:
· Microsoft Windows XP
· Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (R1 & R2) 64-bit
· Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit
· Apple Mac OS X 10.4.6
Description:
RSA enVision Event Explorer 4.0.2 features improvements to the application’s incident management capabilities. This release features a major redesign of the former Task Triage interface and functionality. Now called Incident Management mode, this feature provides the entry point to the incident (task) handling process performed by a security analyst. Incident Management allows users to create incident queries to define the parameters for which they want to retrieve incidents created by the Alerter Service. Users can view and manage the incidents retrieved by an incident query in the Incident List panel and use the Incident Details panel to display the raw or parsed events that triggered an alert, view and add attachments, view incident properties, and view an incident’s history.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that all customers using Event Explorer with RSA enVision 4.0 upgrade to this latest release to realize the benefits of the expanded functionality.
