Summary:

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces the release of enVision 4.0 Service Pack 1 (4.0 SP 1).

Description:

This service pack provides enhancements and bug fixes to the enVision 4.0 release.

New functionality in this service pack includes:

· RSA enVision now enables enforcement of complex passwords for all user accounts.

· RSA enVision displays configurable banner text on the logon screen.

· The RSA enVision logon screen limits the size of usernames to a maximum of 32 characters.

The more significant issues resolved in the Service Pack are:

· RSA addressed an issue where restarting the NIC Service Manager on a Remote Collector (RC) or a Local Collector (LC) caused the system to stop functioning.

· RSA corrected the issue where the SDEE Collection Service occasionally stopped functioning.

· RSA corrected the issue where the NIC Alerter Service stopped functioning.

· The logger logs startup and shutdown events.

Platforms:

This service pack can be installed on all platforms supported by RSA enVision 4.0

Recommendation:

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, recommends installing enVision 4.0 SP 1 on all instances of enVision 4.0. LS customers applying SP 1 must do so to all nodes in a site, and RSA recommends that you apply SP 1 to all sites.
